Things To Do
Diving, Snorkeling and Swimming
Elbow Cay boasts a a beautiful white sand beach for your swimming and sunbathing enjoyment.
The Sea of Abaco shelters a lovely variety of coral
gardens, and you'll find interesting snorkeling right off the beach at many locations.
Sandy Cay Land & Sea Park is a 2100 acre preserve located a short boat
ride south & offers perhaps the best snorkeling & scuba diving in the
Abacos. You can bring your own equipment or purchase the basics. There are
several professional dive and snorkel tour operators that will ensure you have
a fantastic time. Froggies Out Island Adventures
in Hope Town and Dive Abaco in Marsh Harbour
specialize in all-day island excursions to Abaco’s underwater national parks in their specially equipped dive boats.
They also offer air fills, equipment rentals, resort courses and P.A.D.I. certifications.
Fishing
The fishing is excellent -- catch dolphin, wahoo, tuna,
grouper, snappers, hogfish, jacks, runners, porgies, grunts or dive for conch or
lobster in season. You are just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean or bone fishing
in the flats. Reliable local guides are available if you desire.
Kayaking and Sailing
For guided kayak tours, land safaris and bird tours, check out
Abaco Outback, the civilized safari. It is safe
and easy
for all ages and abilities. Owner Ron Pagliaro is a fully accredited bird-touring guide.
If you would like to take a day and sail the turquoise waters of the Sea of Abaco, let
Captain John take you on a morning, afternoon or all day sail on
SkyeLark, or sail with Captain Mark
on Lokadune.
Restaurants and Shopping
There are many restaurants & bars in our area.
Hope Town has several restaurants overlooking the harbour and lighthouse and
Hope Town Harbour Lodge and Abaco Inn serve meals overlooking the Atlantic.
In Marsh Harbour
you have quite a diversity of restaurants, some with boutiques. About 30
minutes away in Little Harbour is Pete's Pub, a wild and crazy place and worth the ride. You can dive and
snorkel on the way home.
There are well-stocked supermarkets in Marsh Harbour for shopping on your arrival.
Your taxi will wait for you. During the week, Hope Town has two grocery stores and an
excellent bakery for mid-week fill-ins.
Honeymoons and Anniversaries
Elbow Cay is a favorite for honeymooners and anniversaries. Tie the knot in a casual
atmosphere on our dock with the beautiful sunset
for a back drop. Others have opted for more formal attire on a
spectacular sandy beach with swaying palms at high noon. For a really memorable
anniversary, re-new your vows in the little white chapel in Hope Town or an intimate
gazebo overlooking the ocean with waves crashing in the background. You’ll be welcomed
back on every anniversary.
